Seeking a Compassionate and Inspiring Interim Pastor
First Presbyterian Church of Alameda is seeking a compassionate and inspiring Interim Pastor to guide our congregation through an important season of transition. Working closely with the Session, the Interim Pastor will provide engaging biblical preaching and worship leadership, meaningful pastoral care, and skilled leadership development for staff, elders, deacons, and volunteers. This full-time position offers an opportunity to help a welcoming, multigenerational church deepen its faith, strengthen its ministries, and discern God’s vision for the future while honoring its rich heritage.
Located in the heart of Alameda, California, our congregation values spiritual growth, community connection, and outreach. We are looking for a pastor who is collaborative, adaptable, technologically savvy, and passionate about helping people grow in their faith. The successful candidate will foster honest conversations, build relationships within the church and community, and serve as a trusted partner in the process of calling our next pastor. This position offers a total effective salary of $95,000 plus benefits through the Board of Pensions and professional reimbursement allowances.
